I have never had a printer that has broken so many times with such little use. The fax has been a problem, the fuser has broke, and now Dell tells me that there is an unfixable jam problem that cannot be repaired. We even had a tech come out and they couldn’t fix it. We only print ~ 300-500 pages per month and it is only 2 years old. $800 later and I need a new printer.

Our massive b&w laser printer/copier finally bit the dust after eight years of service. We were looking to add color and scanning over the network this time around but did not want to spend $3500 for it. Our last printer was overkill for our small office. We were looking to downgrade on the size & price but wanted to add features at the same time. Not hard to due when your talking eight years later. This Dell is feature packed for its price and the replacement toner last longer and cost less than the competitors. That was the deciding factor. Best bang for the buck in its class. Prints look great and being able to scan to my networked computer is a very nice addition over our old printer.

The office purchased this copier directly from Dell and it has given nothing but trouble. The toner replacement cost has been very expensive. The customer service line through Dell is no help. Recently hours were spent to try and troubleshoot a problem with the machine, begging for them to just send out a rep. to work on it. They insisted that the problem had to be diagnosed over the phone before anyone could come out. Finally in disgust I told them to send a replacement machine all together and they did. It’s sitting here in the office broken and will only print a few choice jobs. So this machine is not recommended by our company.

i purchased this dell 3115cn laser printer directly from dell. i had some lighting damage to it and dell did little to help us. three dell reps told me that “we do not repair printers. we just replace them.” one female dell rep was very rude with me. TALK ABOUT AWARD WINNING SERVICE. all i needed was a letter stating the printer was not repairable to my insurance company or something to state they do not repair printers. they were more intrested in me purchasing another dell printer than helping me. don’t buy a dell printer, even if you have insurance, they are not worth it. buy a HP printer.

I have had this printer for less than 2 years and something is always broken on it. First it was the fax, then the scanner, and now the networking. Dell support is terrible, they make things worse. When the printer works, it is fantastic but too bad it doesn’t work all at the same time. I am throwing this printer away and getting another one.
